Windows 10 Often Stops at the Startup Interval

Disable Startups

Many Windows applications  execute at the same time your computer boots. This can result into boot time issues with the Windows 10.

You should try to find out programs which are creating problem with the startup. First backup the entire Windows Registry, or at least, the root keys that you change. One by one locate below subkeys and delete problematic startups.

Alternatively, use the Startup tab in Task Manager to configure startups.

Use Safe Mode

Using the System Configuration utility in Windows > Boot tab, set the computer to load automatically in the Safe Boot option without loading any third party programs and minimal devices.

Scan Boot Files

In Kaspersky Internet Security and other antiviruses there is an option to scan the boot time files. Perhaps your boot files are infected by virus and cleaning your system from any infection would be wise.

Scan Missing Boot Times

Ensure the integrity of Windows operating system components including the files loaded at the time interval. System File Checker (SFC) tool automatically replaces original versions of the missing files.

Uninstall Programs

Sort the list of recently installed programs and uninstall the most recent ones. Get the Programs and Features dialog, after using Windows Key + X shortcut.

Restore the PC

Some of your PC settings might be changed. Using System Restore wizard rollback your PC settings.
